Artist's Description
This acrylic piece is actually three paintings in one, depicting the highlights of the busby Berkeley-esque inspired finale of 'Magical Mystery Tour'.
"Your Mother Should Know" was written by Paul McCartney at his home in London.
It took its title from the screenplay of 'A Taste Of Honey',
and the music harked back to Busby Berkeley show tunes,
and the golden age of music hall.
It's likely that the song was briefly considered for the Our World satellite broadcast
of June 25th,1967.
The Beatles went instead with "All You Need Is Love",
a simpler message and one more readily understood by a worldwide audience.
But the idea of a big old-fashioned singalong clearly stayed with McCartney
when planning the Magical Mystery Tour film.

About Jonathan Morrill
Jonathan Morrill is a Hollywood-based artist. His acrylic works of many a tinsel-town icon have graced the walls of La-La Land's great haunts, including Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where he appears as himself in the HBO documentary; "The Young and The Dead" (2000), painting an over-sized portrait of Rudolph Valentino as the "The Son of The Sheik", mere yards away from the icons final resting place. The piece is featured in Tracy Ryan Terhune's book 'Valentino Forever' (AuthorHouse, 2004) In 2019, that same 10' x 10' acrylic portrait continues to be displayed at the annual Valentino memorial.
