This acrylic/ giclée piece pays homage to one of Tampa Bay’s most beloved bands, Delores Telescope, at one of their most notorious venues, the now defunct ACL Club
in St. Petersburg, Florida.
It also features the artists that represent the zenith of their line-up:
Kacy Ross guitar/vocals
Stevie Grandmaison bass/vocals
Ricky Wilcox drums/vocals
This piece is created in a three tier style, in classic form of 1980’s band flyers.
On the top tier, the band is flanked by two mug shots of a deep sea creature known as a telescope fish, Gigantura indica, amongst a psychedelic mish-mash of kaleidescopic color.
On the middle tier, the band is in action onstage at the ACL Club,
with a sly tribute to Playboy Playmate of March, 1954; Dolores Del Monte.
The bottom tier features “the boys” in a reserved, yet mysterious, set of black and white portraits.

Jonathan Morrill is a Hollywood-based artist. His acrylic works of many a tinsel-town icon have graced the walls of La-La Land's great haunts, including Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where he appears as himself in the HBO documentary; "The Young and The Dead" (2000), painting an over-sized portrait of Rudolph Valentino as the "The Son of The Sheik", mere yards away from the icons final resting place. The piece is featured in Tracy Ryan Terhune's book 'Valentino Forever' (AuthorHouse, 2004) In 2019, that same 10' x 10' acrylic portrait continues to be displayed at the annual Valentino memorial.
