Inspired by the Warren Zevon song "Werewolves of London" (1978),
and the Universal Monster Movie "Werewolf of London" (Universal 1935).
This piece received the coveted singular award of "BEAST IN SHOW"
at the Tonga Hut in North Hollywood's 3rd Annual
'Monsters & Mia Tias' Art Show, October 19. 2014.
It was also a finalist in the inaugural art show of the
'Famous Monsters of Filmland' Convention, held at the Sheraton Dallas,
in Dallas, Texas, from May 26th through
May 28th, 2017.
Cortlandt Hull, the great nephew of
Henry Hull, paid tribute to this painting with these words;
"Nice to see my great uncle's memory kept alive,
even if Warren Zevon never mentioned Henry Hull in his song.
Thanks Jonathan! Congratulations too!"
Jonathan Morrill managed Warren Zevon's 1995 stage performance
at the Ioka Theater in Exeter, New Hampshire.

Jonathan Morrill is a Hollywood-based artist. His acrylic works of many a tinsel-town icon have graced the walls of La-La Land's great haunts, including Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where he appears as himself in the HBO documentary; "The Young and The Dead" (2000), painting an over-sized portrait of Rudolph Valentino as the "The Son of The Sheik", mere yards away from the icons final resting place. The piece is featured in Tracy Ryan Terhune's book 'Valentino Forever' (AuthorHouse, 2004) In 2019, that same 10' x 10' acrylic portrait continues to be displayed at the annual Valentino memorial.
